Kissabō, a 16-seat tea bar in Berlin's Prenzlauer Berg, draws from Japanese kissaten culture to create a space for quiet attention. The interior features a custom oakwood tea bar, tatami area, and Noguchi light sculptures in warm earthen tones. Owners Marcin and Gosia Chelkowski aim to remove the knowledge barrier of tea culture, offering matcha, gyokuro, and seasonal cocktails in a calm atmosphere.

The design prioritizes tranquility with lowered voices and no photography without consent. Every element, from plum-colored noren to handmade sweets, reflects Japanese aesthetics of simplicity and impermanence.
