David Oliver, aka Grip Face, translates digital unease into tactile, unsettling sculptures. His installation 'Utopía del Lodo, Sashimi de Bruma' fills a museum cube with twelve suspended heads—some fuzzy, some smooth—on swings made of thorns. Arranged like the EU flag, they face away from viewers, creating a silent, bittersweet playground.
Oliver's work blends skate culture, punk, and anime with deeper anxieties about war and social media. The masks, mirrors, and furry textures disarm while questioning visibility and identity. His solo show at Fundació Miró Mallorca turns childhood symbols into haunting metaphors for a world in decline.
