Fashion stylist Anna May and her crew built MISC magazine as a direct counter to AI's takeover of editorial imagery. Entirely self-funded and printed on paper, the project prioritises tactile experience over screen-based consumption. The second issue, 'Process', features tattoo artists, tailors, and painters—proof that the magazine is about art in the broadest sense.
What makes MISC compelling is its refusal to be a commercial product. The team simply wanted to see their work in print and send copies to admired producers. The result is a raw, human-centred publication that feels like a quiet manifesto for craft, collaboration, and the joy of making something physical in a digital age.
