French-Canadian illustrator Myriam Wares created 'Winter' to process her move from Montreal to Turin. The series uses familiar objects from her new Italian life—giant clay pots, oranges, cypress trees—while half-covered snow suggests the feeling of being caught between two places. The result is a surreal, visual diary of dislocation.
