The Powerhouse Parramatta, designed by Moreau Kusunoki alongside local practice Genton, presents a dense steel exoskeleton from the street. Rather than a flat facade, the structure projects outward, forming a lattice that carries loads and shades the glass line. The result is a building that reads as both technology and texture, with every node and connection inviting scrutiny.

Inside, the payoff is spatial. The structural lattice sits outside the envelope, leaving galleries open and uninterrupted, with long sightlines and polished concrete floors that bounce daylight across the halls. The building also hosts studios, learning spaces, and a public kitchen, extending beyond traditional exhibition into a working cultural campus.
