A clean, minimal site for a weekly design newsletter and podcast.

The site commits to a near-monochrome palette of charcoals and warm off-whites, creating a hushed, editorial atmosphere that prioritizes content over flash. This restraint is a deliberate framing device: the deep black background acts as a void from which the typography and sparse imagery emerge, lending each section a gallery-like weight. The long-scroll rhythm is punctuated by generous vertical white space, allowing the eye to rest between distinct content blocks—livestreams, newsletters, takeaways—each introduced by a hard rule that feels like a chapter break in a carefully designed book. Typography is the star: a bold, condensed sans-serif for section heads (Forma DJR Display Bold) sets a confident, almost authoritative tone, while the body text in a lighter weight keeps reading effortless. The hierarchy is crisp—headlines anchor the page, pull quotes break up columns, and micro-copy in a smaller size recedes respectfully. There is no decorative clutter; every line of type earns its place. The interaction feeling is smooth but understated: hover states are subtle (color shifts, not animations), preserving the calm, collected pace. Art direction leans heavily on graphic marks—geometric icons, horizontals, and full-bleed image crops with a grainy, low-contrast finish that matches the dark palette. The overall atmosphere is that of a private club for designers: exclusive, serious, yet welcoming through its clarity. This belongs in an archive for demonstrating how minimalism can carry narrative density without sacrificing warmth.
