Studio Hug and artist Rachele Monti transform a 19th-century laundry building in Mendrisio, Switzerland, with large-scale printed textiles. The installation occupies the structure's openings, adding vivid color and pattern while preserving the original facade. The project reframes the pre-restoration period as an active phase, using a fully reversible timber and wire system. Chromatic surfaces contrast with weathered plaster, celebrating the building's transition.
