Pig Iron Works, founded by Fergus Riley and Finnegan Travers, treats print as communal ground. Their first book, Handover, designed with SM Studio, gathers 27 photographers from London and Manchester around three chapter prompts. The result is less a survey than a relay of perspectives across cities.

Chapters like “Even Seeing a Rainbow in the City is Rare,” “Lust and Laundry,” and “The Fable” give contributors open frames, allowing images to converse across place and personal history. The book’s physicality argues for slow, collective looking, positioning photography as something shared rather than scrolled past.
