Luna Paiva's Totem at La Fábrica is a study in contrast: a reflective, otherworldly stack of imagined stones set against Bofill's raw industrial architecture. The sculpture's irregular, hand-modeled forms catch light and shadow, giving the heavy steel a surprisingly weightless presence. It reads as both a futuristic artifact and a timeless monument.
The piece was two years in the making, modeled in clay before being cast in stainless steel using the lost-wax method. Its placement was coordinated by architect Nadia Rodriguez, adding a personal layer to the site's ongoing dialogue between past and present. Paiva’s totem becomes part of La Fábrica's layered history, shaped by labor and memory.
