Brothers Saman and Sasan Oskouei transform everyday wooden objects—ladders, desks, doors—by carving irregular holes that render them non-functional yet visually compelling. The voids become active compositional elements, exposing the material's inner patterns and creating a dialogue between absence and presence.

Part of their series 'The Weight of Less,' these sculptures shift the artists' focus from overt social critique to a more meditative exploration of form. The punctures lighten the objects physically and visually, inviting viewers to reconsider the structures that shape daily life.
