Out of Line's Swoop ADU in New Jersey reimagines the typical split-level home with a sweeping facade line that connects the existing house to a new accessory dwelling unit. The horizontal seam, usually static, becomes a dynamic swoop that dances across openings, marking the next chapter for multigenerational living.

Inside, a 14-foot-tall living room opens to the garden through large windows, flooding the space with natural light. The gable-shaped entry nods to neighborhood forms while the expressive facade sets the ADU apart. This project proves that even modest suburban lots can embrace bold, playful architecture.
