A compact landing page with a provocative tagline that establishes a distinctive cultural brand.
CIPHER's landing page behaves less like a website and more like a printed manifesto board, its entire argument fitting into a single viewport. The near-black ground (#050402) is flat and absolute, with every element held in muted greys; no imagery competes with the text. That restraint is the point. The viewer is left with only typography, spacing, and the address '7 Impasse Franchemont, Paris 11' as coordinates of a physical world. The type is Favorit, a neo-grotesque with a clinical but warm cut, set in a single weight and scale that emphasises hierarchy through position rather than size. The nav and contact lines mirror each other across the canvas, creating a taut symmetry. The tagline is split across lines—'For culture / and its counter'—forcing a moment of pause before the second line lands. That is good art direction: a commitment to an idea, not a layout technique. There's a quiet provocativeness in the emptiness. The word 'counter' suggests opposition, a studio that positions itself against something, and the spare, almost black page is the visual equivalent of a raised eyebrow. The footer-like block containing the email, Instagram, and LinkedIn is equally lightweight, keeping the whole page from feeling archival. This is a confident, editorial style of web design: no ornament, no distractions, just the brand's voice carried entirely by type and negative space.
