Photography

British photographer Peter Marlow (1952-2016), a former Magnum president, documented all 42 Anglican cathedrals across England between 2010 and 2011. Focusing on naves, arches, and rosette-covered ceilings, he shot in natural light to evoke centuries of pre-electricity viewing.

The exhibition runs from July 21 to August 31 at Southwark Cathedral, London's oldest Gothic church. Marlow's quiet compositions highlight the architectural grandeur and spiritual serenity of these historic spaces, offering a contemplative visual journey through England's ecclesiastical heritage.
