Branding
Studio Blackburn's work for Brompton is a masterclass in restraint. Instead of redesigning the iconic logo, they doubled down on its strengths, extending it into a full character set and a custom typeface, Brompton Slab. The real magic is the process: crafting metal letters in the same factory where the bikes are built, tying the brand physically to its manufacturing roots.
The result is a scalable, digital-first platform ready for global expansion, yet it never loses the hand-made soul of the company. By letting the factory floor inform the design system, Studio Blackburn created something that feels both timeless and contemporary. It's a reminder that the most powerful branding often comes from understanding where a product is born, not just how it looks on a screen.
