Depo – Honest Budget App

A clean landing page for a budget app that emphasizes safety and simplicity without bank login.

Depo opens on a warm, paper-toned field of #FAF7F2, a deliberate counter to the clinical whites of most fintech. Against that calm, the single electric blue acts like a pencil mark — it appears only where a decision is required, mostly the download button and the app's own interface. The move gives the page a trustworthiness that has nothing to do with banking logos; it feels analog, tactile, and quietly confident. Typography carries the art direction. Archivo Black, used for the statement lines, is blunt and almost poster-like — “Face your number” has the weight of a command, not an invitation. It sits in generous white space, while DM Sans handles the supporting text with a neutral, humanist clarity. The rhythm is gently chronological: Income, Essentials, Savings, Today, with large headings anchoring each act. Screenshots are framed as artifacts, not floating in bezels, reinforcing the idea that this is a system you can hold. The repeated “scan with your iPhone” callout, four times down the page, is an odd, almost incantatory device that turns the desktop visit into a physical choreography. It also breaks the usual app-landing-page cliché of a single hero shot. The overall atmosphere is that of a printed pamphlet — restrained, honest, with a dry wit (“No spreadsheet. No BS.”). The page earns its minimalism by making every element feel chosen, including the generous pale background that lets the blue and the typography breathe.
