Installation
Céleste Boursier-Mougenot transforms the cloister of Frac Normandie into an interactive sound installation. A circular structure with eight swings hangs beneath antique church bells, inviting visitors to set them in motion. The shifting rhythms never repeat, creating a collective musical experience that emerges from the participants' gestures.
In 'points de suspension', the artist extends the experience indoors with a camera obscura projecting the courtyard upside down. A 900-square-meter field of crushed glass mirrors the movement above. Boursier-Mougenot turns ordinary objects into instruments, encouraging shared attention and lingering in public space.
